The Physicians Advisory Council is a global group of physicians and surgeons who take an active role in the future of healthcare and medicine by taking part in online opinion surveys and discussions. The Physicians Advisory Council believes that healthcare practitioners have a right to freely share their opinions and preferences, as well as grievances, to both firms and governments that offer them various products and services. It is free to become a member of the Physicians Advisory Council so long as a physician is willing to take part in multiple online surveys each year.

It takes about 10 minutes to complete a short survey (screener), and those who participate are entered into a monthly drawing. Those who take part in long surveys receive an honorarium. Honorarium amounts vary from $25 to $250 for each survey or research project, depending on the time it takes for a physician to complete the survey. Physicians Advisory Council online survey information is kept private and confidential, with feedback combined with that of other members and presented as statistical summaries.
